Well folks, it’s time to talk about the most important meal of the day (or any meal, really) – the plate! Now, I know what you’re thinking, “A plate is just a plate, what’s the big deal?” But oh, my friends, you couldn’t be more wrong. The plate is the canvas upon which we create our culinary masterpieces, and just like any artist, we must have the right tools and materials to create something truly special.

First and foremost, the plate must have a good balance of colors. No one wants to eat a plate of beige food (unless, of course, you’re into that sort of thing). A nice mix of greens, reds, yellows, and purples will not only make the plate look pretty, but it’ll also ensure you’re getting a good mix of nutrients.

Now, I know some of you may be thinking “but, I don’t like vegetables,” and to that I say, “have you tried roasting them with some olive oil and herbs? Trust me, it’ll change your life.” And as for the carbs, well, they’re just plain delicious. Whether it’s a fluffy baked potato or a bowl of pasta, carbs are the glue that holds the plate together.

Finally, let’s not forget about the finishing touches. A sprinkle of nuts or seeds for some added crunch, a drizzle of dressing or sauce for some extra flavor, and maybe even a sprinkle of cheese for that added oomph.
